ArtVenture : Learn color mixing with Gouache In-Person
Learn the nuances of gouache & the subtleties of color mixing while creating a useful colorwheel
with ArtVenture artist Suzi Bromirski
Gouache is a water-based painting medium known as "opaque watercolor", offering a unique balance of opacity and water-solubility, resulting in a vibrant, velvety matte finish. To get the most out of your gouache paints you’ll have to understand how to use them. A lot of this comes with practice and play, but to help you get started we will learn about the proper consistency of gouache and learn to understand its behavior as we carefully mix secondary and tertiary hues from primary colors. We’ll also learn how important those primary hues are in achieving vibrant color! Gouache is often used for color theory lessons, but is also a versatile painting medium for illustration, textile design, and even plein air painting!
Ages 18+ please
