Yoga at HQ In-Person
Join Yoga Therapist and instructor Bonnie Pariser from Yoga Loka for weekly summertime yoga! No experience required. Please bring a yoga mat or towel, and wear comfortable clothing.
Bonnie has been working as a yoga therapist since 2005 and teaching yoga since 1999. Her classes are known to be fun and invigorating, strengthening, and refreshing. She weaves therapeutic applications into the classical yoga poses, offering modifications for participants who need considerations for injuries or limitations, as well as adjustments to poses to make them more challenging for those who want to work harder. Along the way she offers philosophical inspiration and anatomical information, making the class experience one that feeds the body, mind and spirit.
Yoga at the Library will move through a series of asanas (yoga positions) in a flowing sequence at a slow and steady pace. This is perfect for people who are beginners as well as experienced practitioners who have had basic instruction and some asana experience and who seek a more active and engaging session. Modifications will be offered to make the experience both more challenging and less intense, you choose which way you want to go.
Yoga practice has been shown to reduce stress, bump up the immune system, increase strength and resiliency, and most importantly, it makes you feel good!
