Author Talk: A Conversation with Nathan Harris

Author Talk: A Conversation with Nathan Harris In-Person

Join us for a special evening with acclaimed author Nathan Harris, in conversation with award-winning author Nev March. Harris will discuss his newly released novel, Amity, a gripping story about a brother and sister, emancipated from slavery but still searching for true freedom, and their odyssey across the deserts of Mexico to finally reunite, all while escaping a former master still intent on their bondage. He will also discuss his debut novel The Sweetness of Water—a New York Times bestseller, Booker Prize longlist selection, and Oprah’s Book Club pick—which tells the story of two formerly enslaved brothers whose unlikely bond with a Georgia farmer alters the course of their lives.

In this moderated conversation, Harris will share insights into the historical backdrops of his novels, his approach to storytelling, and the ways his fiction explores the ties between past and present. A Q&A with the audience and a book signing will follow.

The first 50 attendees at the door will receive a free copy of Amity. Books will also be available for purchase courtesy of Frenchtown Bookshop.
