NCB Book Discussion: The Little Liar by Mitch Albom In-Person

Eleven-year-old Nico Crispi never told a lie. When the Nazi's invade his home in Salonika, Greece, a German officer offers him a chance to save his family. All he has to do is convince fellow Jewish residents to board trains heading east, where they are promised jobs and safety. The innocent boy goes to the station every day and assures the passengers that the journey is safe. But when the final train is at the station, Nico sees his family loaded into a boxcar with other neighbors. Nico realizes that he helped send the people he loved--and all the others--to their doom. Nico never tells the truth again.

Books are available at each meeting for the following month, or you can check out a library copy.                               All welcome to join our lively, friendly, monthly book discussions.
