Holiday Pysanka Ornament Workshop In-Person
Make a snowflake inspired pysanka on a blown-out chicken egg and assemble the pysanka ornament for your tree! This workshop will include a step-by-step instruction of how to make a traditional Ukrainian pysanka using the wax-resist method on a blown-out chicken egg. Participants will use a special tool called a kistka, beeswax, and dye to complete the egg. The completed pysanka will then be assembled to hang on a tree (or give away as a gift!).
This workshop is presented by the Ukrainian History and Education Center.
*Please note that all attendees must sign the attached Hunterdon County Library Liability Waiver before participating. Some will be printed the day of the event as well.
