Teen College Essay Workshop In-Person
Unlike the essays you write for your English class, the College Essay isn't about Gatsby or Dickens: it's about YOU. The goal of this workshop is to help you uncover the thematic avenues that can help you share key aspects of yourself with admissions officers. First, we'll go through some warm-up writing exercises to get the juices flowing, then we'll discuss three of the most common essay structures, review samples, and practice how to brainstorm for them. Lastly, I'll give you my fool-proof checklist for selecting the right topic for you. Come ready to think, write, and pair-share!
