Paper crafting : Make a Journal

Paper crafting : Make a Journal In-Person

In this 2 hour hands-on workshop, we'll take a look at creating a small journal/album employing a simple concertina binding. We'll then cover the booklet with decorative paper. Techniques used in construction of this project can incorporate a tool made on the 3D printer, and stencils made on the Glowforge.

Once completed, your album can be used for notes, journaling, storing images or for anything your imagination dictates! No prior knowledge is necessary. Participants choosing to use an xacto knife will be required to fill out a liability waiver.  Participants under 18 will need to have a waiver signed by their responsible adult before participating in the workshop.

This workshop is presented by Pat Pickard. She has spent her career as a freelance graphic designer, combining her digital knowledge of art and design with traditional hands-on practices such as artist book making and printmaking.

This workshop is sponsored by the Friends of the Hunterdon County Library.
