Remembering the American Revolution In-Person
Mark Twain once said, “ Never let the truth get in the way of a good story”; how do you remember the founding of our country? As the “truth”? A “good story”? Anything?
In this lecture, Joel Farkas will talk about: How it all began, Paul Revere’s Ride, Benedict Arnold, Bunker Hill, The Declaration of Independence, Washington Crossing the Delaware, George Washington’s false teeth, ELVIS PRESLEY (yes, Elvis Presley), and a whole lot more.
Joel Farkas is a Lecturer at the Lifelong Learning Institute at Fairleigh Dickinson University and a volunteer docent at Washington’s Headquarters in Morristown, NJ. He received the National Park Service Centennial Volunteer Challenge Award.
