Author Talk: "The Tick Tackler": Residential Tick Control Strategies In-Person
May is Lyme disease prevention month. Did you know that Lyme disease is the most common vector-born disease in the United States? Lyme disease is predominantly contracted via tick bites and affects nearly 300,000 people a year in the U.S. Jennifer Meisenbacher-Molzen, creator of "Tick Tackler" is no stranger to Lyme disease and has observed firsthand how tick-borne diseases can impact people, pets, and loved ones. Jen's experiences motivated her to make home environments safer for pets and family. In this program, Jen will offer guidance through her experiences and publications for reducing the presence of ticks. As a motivated enemy of ticks, Jen serves families, doctors, veterinarians, and farms in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Participants will have the opportunity to find more on how to protect themselves from ticks and ask questions of an expert just in time for the summer season. Jen will go over some of the basics from her book, The Tick Tackler Tutor: 3 Impactful Tick Reduction Strategies for the Homeowner.
