Teen Maker Camp - Printmaking In-Person

Teens will receive an introduction to printmaking and stamping, where you will come out with a set of your own handmade prints using their own design. Learn how to transfer, carve, and print your work. Feel free to bring your own design ideas that will fit on a 4x6 rubber block, but you can also create your print ideas at the session!

This session will be led by Mariah McLaughlin. Mariah McLaughlin is a local artist in Somerville, NJ. She has her BFA in Fine Arts with a minor in Digital Arts from The College of New Jersey. After graduation, she discovered ceramics and her work has been featured in exhibits at the Philadelphia Airport and the Arts Council of Princeton. Mariah volunteers at Flemington DIY’s screen printing facility where she is also their Printer in Residence, exploring the intersection of screen printing and ceramics. Whether it’s screen printing, printmaking, or ceramics, working with her hands to create something new is her driving force. Her work can be found at www.nevermoreartworks.com or on Instagram @nevermore.artworks

Ages 12-18.

Registration required.

*Please note that all participants must have a signed Minor Individual Release Form in order to participate in Hunterdon County Makerspace activities. If you cannot print a copy in advance, please be sure to bring a parent or guardian to sign the form before the start of the program.*
