Native Plants and Permaculture: an Ideal Marriage (Native Plant Society) In-Person

Permaculture is when you use perennials to create ecosystems, intending to be self-sustaining, and mimicking nature.  Jason and Deborah DeSalvo, owners of Cold Brook Farm in Tewksbury, will discuss their permaculture homestead, and the role of native plants in their farm's production.

The Native Plant Soc. of NJ holds their monthly meetings with a guest speaker, followed by meeting discussion.  NPS is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to the appreciation, protection, and study of the native flora of New Jersey. Founded in 1985, their members include gardeners, horticulturists, naturalists, landscape designers, students, and native plant enthusiasts from all walks of life.  Talks are open to all!
