Intro to Handbuilding: Ceramic Pumpkin

Intro to Handbuilding: Ceramic Pumpkin In-Person

This class will teach the basics of handbuilding with clay while making a ceramic pumpkin! Using a slab of clay, template, texture tools and slip and scoring we'll make a small ceramic pumpkin.  This class will build the pumpkin and a second visit during our open hours will be required to glaze the pumpkiin when it comes out of the first bisque firing.   This class is for ages 18+. All materials are provided.

Here is the schedule:

  • Sept 11th : Class to build pumpkin
  • Choose a date/time to glaze your pumpkin during open hours: Tuesday Sept 24 10am - 4pm, Wednesday Sept 25th 5-8 or Thursday Sept 26th 1-4pm.
  • You'll receive an email when your pumpkin has come out of the glaze fire and is ready for pickup the week of October 1st.

Please note that due to the unpredictable nature of firing ceramics in a kiln, we cannot guarantee that all pieces will successfully make it through the entire process. However, we will make every effort to maximize the success rate.
