Mindful Eating In-Person
Have you ever eaten when you were not hungry? Eaten in front of a screen such as a TV or computer without being aware of your meal? Over-eaten due to excitement or stress? All of these are examples of “mindless eating”. But what does it mean to be mindful when we eat? Mindfulness focuses on the present moment. It allows us to listen to our body’s hunger and fullness cues, to taste and truly enjoy our food.
Join Sandra Grenci, Family and Community Health Sciences Educator with the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Hunterdon County, to learn how mindful eating can help control cravings, prevent overeating, and improve our relationship with food.
