Beginner Ukulele Lessons for Children Ages 6-12

Beginner Ukulele Lessons for Children Ages 6-12 In-Person

Because of its small size, the ukulele is a beginner friendly and fun instrument for children.  Learning a musical instrument can increase focus, help eye-hand coordination, and give a sense of accomplishment.

We are offering a series of 6 ukulele lessons to children who are 6-12 years old.  You must be able to commit to attending all six sessions.  The final session is a rehearsal, then a short recital for parents/family.   Once you register for the first session, you are registered for all six-3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, and the rehearsal and recital date of 4/5.  The recital will be in the main meeting room.

The library has a limited number of ukuleles available to borrow on a first come first serve basis.  If you would like to borrow one from the library, please indicate this on your registration.  You will be notified whether or not one is available for you.

Lessons are being taught by Morgan Fisher from the Flemington Craft Barn. Morgan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music as well as a Master’s Degree in Teaching and is also TESOL certified. She is also a Music professor at Rider University.  Music is a universal language. Morgan guides children and adults of all ages to freely express themselves through this beautiful language.
