Based on one of America’s most notorious real-life scandals. Georgia Tann, director of a Memphis-based adoption organization, kidnapped and sold poor children to wealthy families all over the country. This woman's greed was enabled by crooked judges, and a system designed to protect the them from prosecution coupled with falsified records, name changes, lies to anyone attempting to locate them These children were basically sold to the highest bidder. This riveting, wrenching, and ultimately uplifting tale reminds us how, even though the paths we take can lead to many places, the heart never forgets where we belong.
